North West Division of the AMA

Meetings are now being held at the North West Regional Hospital (Tutorial Library) and the Mersey Hospital, Latrobe (Board Room). Both rooms are connected by Video Conference.

These meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month and a light meal and drinks are available.

 

We are also looking for a NW Divisional Assistant:

Please also ask your staff if any of them are willing to act as North West Division Assistant Secretary.

The job is the same as the role Ald. Rosemary Armitage performs in Launceston for the Northern Division, and Ms. Ngairi Pirere for the South. Rosemary is available to talk to anyone who expresses an interest. Please call me and I will pass on her number. Subject to revenue we are able to pay $300 per month. 

The role entails the following:

• 1. Recruiting sponsors (usually drug companies, but doesn't have to be. $400 to $500 per month)
• 2. Preparing the agenda
• 3. Writing the minutes.
• 4. Liaison with the venue and catering (The Hospitals) Allison Beswick is the contact at the Mersey. Stan Hutchison is the contact at the NWRH.
• 5. Providing drinks
• 6. Attending the meeting once a month between 6pm and 7.30pm 1^st Tuesdays of the month.
• 7. Liaising with myself at AMA State Office
• 8. Some other smaller tasks
• 9. The role should take about 8 to 10 hours a month.
