VMO Doctors
VMO Members of the AMA in Tasmania are able to obtain specialist advice on employment matters through an agreement with one of Tasmania's leading law firms, Page Seager Lawyers.
The AMA is also the negotiating organization for the VMO agreement with the State Government. The next agreement currently being developed will begin July 2011 and usually the will run for three years. Any suggestions or feedback is appreciated, so don't hesitate to contact the CEO.
Members seeking assistance can contact Craig Green, a Senior Associate in Workplace Relations Group for an initial discussion of any issues without charge. If further advice is required, members can receive legal advice at a special discounted rate. Craig has considerable experience in the Tasmanian State Service including interpretations of Awards and assisting employees facing Code of Contact investigations.
Craig is a member of the Industrial Relations Committee of the Law Council of Australia, a member of the Law Society of Tasmania, Employment and Equal Opportunity Committee and a committee member of the Industrial Relations Society of Tasmania, representing the legal profession. He regularly provides seminars to the legal profession on important workplace relations matters.
